Angers receives Lille in Ligue 1 with several absentees
As the 31st day of Ligue 1 approaches, Angers welcomes Lille to the Stade Raymond-Kopa this Sunday, April 27th at 15h. In pursuit of maintaining their status in French football’s elite, Angers is facing several player absences for this crucial match.
Initially announced as seven during Friday’s press conference, two additional players have been ruled out of the squad. On Saturday evening, prior to the game, Angers’ coach Alexandre Dujeux revealed his 20-man group set to represent the club against Lille. Notably, Farid El Melali is included despite being doubtful beforehand, but Justin Kalumbani and Ibrahima Niane are not present.
Three young players make their debut in the squad: Amine Moussaoui, Enzo Caumont, and Prosper Peter. The absentees include Sofiane Boufal, Sada Thioub, Abdoulay Touré, Mohamed-Ali Cho, Alexis Flips, Azzedine Ounahi, and Thomas Delaine (injuries), as well as Nabil Alioui and Gaëtan Laborde (choices).
