Racing Tactical Tests Abroad Encouraging success for next season

The Racing Club in Strasbourg has done an intense tactical test day, with two friendly matches played more than 600 kilometers from each other. In the morning, the team suffered a severe defeat against the VFB Stuttgart (7-1), despite a composition similar to that used later by Justin Walker in the afternoon game. The main objective of this day was to give the whole group some play time, and the match against Stuttgart allowed to observe different combinations and test the depth of the strength. The absence of the public and the press allowed for a freer and less framed opposition.

In the afternoon, Racing went to Graz to face the Sturm Graz, and won the 2-3 game. The logic of the day was to divide the group to allow as many players as possible to play a game. Felix Lemaréchal was particularly successful, proving to be valuable throughout the game. Despite some difficulties in recovery and defensive mistakes, the Racing managed to realize its opportunities, thanks in particular to the goals of Junior Mwanga and Samuel Amo-Ameyeaw in the first half.

The second period was more balanced, with individual mistakes and offensive actions on both sides. Sturm Graz equalled in penalty, but Racing reacted with a goal from Jacob Hodl. In the last few minutes, Miloş Luković scored the goal of the win, sealing the success of Racing. Stéfan Bajic, tested by Strasbourg, made a final decisive parade to ensure victory. This day of testing allowed to increase the intensity and cohesion of the team with a view to the resumption of the Ligue 1 in Metz.
