Nice hopes to bounce back against Toulouse despite absences and a difficult context

The OGC Nice is facing the Toulouse FC this Saturday evening on the first day of Ligue 1 2025/26, in an attempt to rebound after the defeat against Benfica. The Nice team, after a disappointing performance in the Champions League, is looking to get together early in the season to avoid a mini-crisis. This match, which will take place at the Allianz Riviera at 9 p.m., marks the start of the national campaign and sees the arrival of Salis Abdul Samed, a defensive midfielder recruited in Lens, where coach Franck Haise had even played a role in his arrival.

Despite this reinforcement, OGC Nice remains deprived of several key players due to injuries, including Ali Abdi, Dante and Moïse Bombito. Pablo Rosario is also absent from the group, not for an injury, but due to his imminent departure, in order to avoid any risk of further injury. On the other hand, Hichem Boudaoui will return after being injured in Portugal. Franck Haise confirmed his availability at a press conference.

On the Toulouse FC side, preparation was difficult, marked by heavy losses against Leipzig and Stuttgart, and the new recruits joined the team late. The conditions are therefore not optimal for the Toulouse team. The team composition is as follows: Nice with Diouf, Mendy, Bah, Oppong, Clauss, Boudaoui, Louchet, Bard, Bouanani, Moffi and Jansson; and Toulouse with Restes, McKenzie, Cresswell, Methalia, Kamanzi, Cassieres, Canvot, Donnum, Edjouma, Magri, Gboho.
