Ligue 2 BKT changes its programming for greater visibility

League 2 BKT announced a significant change in its programming for the 2025-2026 season. Following a collaborative meeting involving the LFP, beIN SPORTS and supporters’ representatives, a decision was made to shift the usual multiplex from Friday night to Saturday night from the first day of the championship. This change is motivated by the absence of Ligue 1 matches on the opening weekend, thus providing a unique opportunity to highlight Ligue 2.

For the first day, the traditional multiplex will be broadcast on Saturday, August 9th at 8 pm. This decision is part of a broader strategy to optimize the broadcasting of Ligue 2 matches. Starting on the second day, an additional match will be scheduled from Friday evening or Monday evening to be broadcast every Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. This initiative aims to increase the league’s visibility and provide viewers with richer content.

As a result of these changes, Ligue 2 programming will now include three meetings broadcast every Saturday, with the exception of weekdays and 33rd and 34th days. This new configuration will allow a better diffusion of the matches and will strengthen the attractiveness of the BKT 2 League to a wider audience. The goal is to maximize exposure to encounters and support the development of the league.
