Montpellier in crisis: a premature departure of Laurent Nicollin and a humiliating defeat against the OM

The most significant event of the evening, however, is the premature departure of its president, Laurent Nicollin, from the Vélodrome stadium before the final whistle.

According to reports, President Montpellieran left the Vélodrome before the end of the game, joining the parking lot to return home. This event comes a week after an explosive statement in the defeat against Angers, where Nicollin had expressed his discontent with some players and announced a new approach based on “healthy people” and not on players “just there for their face”.

The atmosphere at La Paillade is therefore particularly heavy and looks heavy until the end of the season. The tense climate, exacerbated by the premature departure of its president, suggests only difficulties for the MHSC.
