Rennes seems to be strengthening its roster for next season with the potential arrival of Przemyśław Frankowski, Polish player currently playing in Galatasaray. According to Lequipe, a two-season loan agreement with automatic purchasing option between the two clubs would be imminent, with a valuation of between €5.5 million and €6 million. This signature would be added to the recent recruits of Valentin Rongier and Quentin Merlin, confirming the Stade Rennais’ commitment to boost its team. Frankowski, already courted by the Paris FC, would commit for two years, until 2029, and could be presented to fans in the next days, on the margins of the next friendly match against Real Sociedad.
At the same time, Aarnaud Kalimuendo is expected to leave Stade Rennais this summer, attracting the interest of several European clubs. Villarreal, Brentford and Milan AC would be particularly interested in the attacker, whose departure could bring up to 30 million euros to the Breton club. Although clubs such as Juventus, AS Roma, Eintracht Frankfurt and Newcastle have shown interest, no concrete offer has yet been made. European clubs closely monitor the Kalimuendo case, convinced of its potential and its ability to add value to their attack.
Finally, Carlos Andrés Gomez could also leave Stade Rennais through a loan with automatic purchasing option. Arrived last summer for about 10 million euros, the Colombian player did not fully meet expectations and would be about to join Gama’s Vasco. The latter has been following the case for some time and would be close to an agreement with Rennes, including a paid loan with a purchase option of 5 to 7.5 million euros. These successive departures demonstrate the Breton club’s willingness to reduce its staff and focus on its priorities.
