Interest of LOSC in Locko and Perraud a negotiating strategy

According to an article published Monday by L’Équipe, the LOSC would show a strong interest in Bradley Locko, the left side of the Brestois Stadium. This information generated some tension on the Brest side and moderate satisfaction in Lille. However, according to informant Mohamed Toubache-Ter, this rumour is not based on any concrete basis. In fact, the LOSC inquired about Locko in early July, just before Gudmundsson’s departure, but never started formal negotiations or any concrete dossier with the Brest club.

In parallel with this rumor Locko, another name comes back with insistence: Romain Perraud. The LOSC’s sports management seems to favour this issue. The aim of the broadcast of the rumor Locko would be to create pressure on the Betis Seville, Perraud’s current club, by stimulating competition. This trading strategy is common to exert pressure on the seller club and to obtain the best possible conditions.

On Brest’s side, the leaders were calm, stating that Locko was under contract and that no official LOSC offer had been received. The idea of a start was not raised internally and the player remains fully engaged in the preparation of the season. The LOSC is looking for an experienced and immediately available profile, which is more in line with Perraud’s profile. Other avenues, however, are being studied, notably Niels Nkounkou, whose situation is closely followed by the Lille club.
