Young foreign talents shine in French League 1

The 2024/2025 season of Ligue 1 highlights a set of foreign talents, among which the performances of Lucas Stassin, attacking the AS Saint-Étienne, and Zuriko Davitashvili, now also playing in the Stéphanois club, stand out particularly. These two young players, thanks to a total of fourteen decisive actions – combining goals and assists – are positioned within the top ten of the most influential foreign players in the championship, sharing this place with other figures like Bierethet Mikautadze. Only a few other elements, such as Greenwood, Guessand, David, Moses and Emegha, present a superior record, highlighting the excellence of their contributions.

Lucas Stassin, who arrived in Saint-Étienne in 2023 from Anderlecht, quickly established himself as a major asset for the Greens. His first season in the elite proved successful, thanks to a combination of technical accuracy, offensive flair and remarkable game intensity. Its ability to be consistently in the right positions allows it to score regularly, while actively participating in the collective game of its team, thus confirming its full and versatile player profile.

Zuriko Davitashvili, for his part, confirms the expectations placed in him since his arrival in France, and in particular following his passage by the Girondins de Bordeaux. His striking game over the wing and his ability to create significant differences at key moments testify to his undeniable talent. Despite a sometimes fluctuating season for the Bordeaux team, it remains a key element, with its dynamism and ability to generate dangerous opportunities. These two players, aged twenty and twenty-two respectively, display maturity on the field in contrast to their young age, and their presence in this prestigious ranking reflects their regularity and positive impact on their respective clubs.
