Strasbourg Racing gets stronger for the new season

The Racing Club of Strasbourg Alsace unveiled its composition for its third friendly match during the internship in Austria. The aligned team includes Bajic as a goaltender, a defence composed of Doukuré, Mwanga, Omobamidelé and Sobol, a midfielder with Sylla, Oyedele, Nanasi, Lemaréchal and Bakwa, and Panichelli attacking. The bench is composed of Amuogou, Cisse, El Mourabet, Diop, Johnsson, Messi, Mara, Lung, Lukovic, and Kerckaert. This composition reflects the club’s intensive preparations for the new season.

An important defensive reinforcement joined the group in Austria: 19-year-old English defender Ishé Samuels-Smith. From Chelsea, he joined the Racing Club in Strasbourg and is already present with his new teammates. The young player, trained in Everton, is versatile and can evolve both as a left side and as a central defense. His arrival is part of a strategy to strengthen the team, after a period when his playing opportunities in Chelsea were limited.

At the same time, Racing is expected to formalize the loan of Mamadou Sarr, a central defender also purchased by Chelsea, in the coming days. After a short period of play at the World Cup of Clubs, his prospects for tenure in Chelsea were reduced. This will be Chelsea’s third player loaned to Racing, joining the Alsatian club in view of the League of Conferences dam. This arrival reinforces the central hinge and reflects Racing’s ambition to stay in Ligue 1.
