Noa Delacroix rising star of Saint-Étienne a promising future

The young goaltender Noa Delacroix, trained in the Paris region, proved to be one of the great promises of the AS Saint-Étienne summer preparation. This 19-year-old player, measuring 1.90 m, is distinguished by his calmness and maturity, qualities noted during the summer. Initially integrated as the third goaltender to accompany the professional group, he was able to seize the opportunities offered by the absences and confidence of the staff, participating in four friendly matches, including one in titularization against the Paris FC. This steady increase confirms its rise within the Stéphanois club and its promising new status.

Born in 2006 in the Yvelines, Noa Delacroix started football at the age of six at the Racing Club de Neupille-le-Château. After developing as a field player during his early years, he chose to specialize as a goaltender at the age of nine, a choice encouraged by his first coach Mohamed, who emphasized his desire to protect goals. His talent was confirmed at FC Isy-les-Moulineaux and then in Versailles, where he attracted the attention of several professional clubs, including Olympique de Marseille, Stade Brestois and AS Saint-Étienne. Despite Versailles’ interest in retaining him, Delacrroix opted for Saint-Étienne, convinced by the club’s sports project.

Since his arrival in Saint-Étienne, Noa Delacrroix has continued to progress thanks to her hard work and ability to adapt to the demands of the high level. After two strong seasons in the youth teams, he entered the 2025-2026 season with a special status, that of a goaltender at the end of a trainee contract, at a decisive turning point in his career. His performance in the cages, his reading of the game and his decisive stops have not escaped the staff of the ASSE, which now considers him a bet of the future. At the start of the championship, he should hold the position of holder with the reserve team, offering him the opportunity to gain experience in National 3 and convince the leaders to offer him a professional contract at the end of this season. AS Saint-Étienne, like more and more clubs, relies on his young talents, and Delacrroix has the opportunity to be part of this trajectory.
