Kalimuendo in Nottingham Forest A new chapter for the Rennes striker

Arnaud Kalimuendo, attacking Stade Rennais, formalized his transfer to Nottingham Forest, a Premier League club, for five seasons. Arriving in Rennes in 2022 from Paris Saint-Germain after two loans to Lens, the player wore the S.R.C.F. jersey 112 times, scoring 40 goals and delivering 14 assists over three seasons. This start, anticipated from several mercatos, marks an important stage in Kalimuendo’s career, which joins a seventh club in the last English championship. Its transfer is estimated at 30 million euros, a sum which should allow Stade Rennais to reinforce its attack during this mercato.

During his three seasons in Rennes, Kalimuendo was regularly selected as a team from France Espoirs, totalling 33 selections and 11 goals with the Bleuets. Although his statistics are generally positive, his visit to Rennes was marked by a certain irregularity, alternating good and less good performances, without however achieving great exploits. His departure thus represents an opportunity for the player to flourish in a higher-level championship and to continue his progress.

Along with this transfer, Stade Rennais also announced the loan of its right side, Rayan Bamba, to FC Nancy for a year. After an experience in National last season, this new loan in Ligue 2 aims to allow the young player to gain experience and develop. These player movements reflect the efforts of the Rennes club to optimize its workforce and meet its sporting objectives, including by strengthening its attack and providing development opportunities for young talent.
