"Bouge!: 2600 children mobilized by SRFC to fight sedentaryness"

The “Bouge!” program once again brought together a large number of children at Roazhon Park this Tuesday morning. The players of Stade Rennes participated in a training session open to young people in various workshops, in the presence of President Arnaud Pouille and Frédéric Massara.

Unfortunately, the sporting stake is now less at the end of the season, but this did not prevent the children of the “Bouge!” program from enjoying this sunny morning. Habib Beye led an almost complete band, with the exception of Jérémy Jacquet and Ayanda Sishuba, in a session that included an end-of-game opposition between two defenses on four.

The “Bouge!” program, launched four years ago by CFRS, allowed 2600 children to attend the professional training session at Roazhon Park. The aim of this programme is to combat sedentary behaviour by mobilizing children from Breton schools to move through physical activities in class from Monday to Friday.

With the support of an external assessor, Stade Rennes has considerably developed this “sustainable and evaluated” programme, bringing it to 150 school classes, i.e. nearly 3,000 children who have completed 204 activities this year. President Arnaud Pouille said it was a program that worked well and in line with the expectations of the property.

Since the inception of the program, children have themselves created classroom games to be on the move throughout the activity. Sophie Cha, the doctor and ambassador of the program, testified to the success of this program thanks to the commitment of teachers and the support of the Brittany Region.
