The City of Nice, the OGC Nice and the French Blood Establishment join forces for the 17th edition of the “Don de Sang Rouge et Noir”, which will take place from 16 to 19 April 2025 on Place Masséna. This event, which is the result of close collaboration, aims to raise awareness among the local population of the importance of blood donation and to ensure an adequate supply of blood products to meet the needs of the region. The ambitious goal set by the organizers is to mobilize 500 donors during these four days, relying on the reputation of the Nice football club to encourage participation.

The collection, open to people aged 18 to 70 and weighing at least 50 kg, will be held from 1 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Potential donors will need to present identification and, in some cases, a haemoglobin dose. To facilitate the participants’ experience, a snack will be offered at the end of the donation, and Civil Protection will offer free initiations to first aid gestures. The Nice GOC club will also mobilize its players, employees and members of the HumaNice association to inform and encourage public participation.

Beyond this one-off event, the French Blood Establishment recalls that donations can be made throughout the year at the Maison du Don de Nice, located at 3 rue Galléan, by appointment. This structure allows not only the donation of blood, but also plasma and platelets.
