LOSC targets Djiku against the potential departure of Diakitéa

The LOSC, a French football club, is currently very active in the transfer market, mainly due to the possibility of leaving its central defender, Bafodé Diakitéa. The latter, whose contract ran until 2028, attracted the interest of several European clubs, including Bournemouth and Sunderland, who each made an offer of 27 million euros. However, the president of LOSC, Olivier Létang, refused these proposals and demanded an allowance of 40 million euros to allow his departure. Despite this, an agreement would be under way between the player and Bournemouth, and negotiations between the two clubs are continuing.

Faced with this uncertainty about the future of Diakitéa, LOSC management is actively studying several profiles of potential defenders. Although Nathan N’Goy recently extended his contract for four seasons, coach Bruno Genesio wants to strengthen the team with a more experienced player. It is in this context that the LOSC targeted Alexander Djiku, the defender of Fenerbahçe, who is 30 years old and whose contract expires in a year. Djiku, renowned for his strength and experience in Ligue 1, is considered an ideal profile to strengthen the defensive axis.

The LOSC’s interest in Djiku has intensified in recent days, especially if Diakitéa’s departure takes place. However, no offer is envisaged for Djiku until the situation in Diakitéa is resolved, and the positions between LOSC and Bournemouth are currently remote. The arrival of Djiku would be particularly interesting because he knows the French championship well, which would facilitate his rapid integration into the team.
