Olympique Lyonnais suffered a strong defeat against Stade Rennais FC on the fourth day of Ligue 1, Sunday, September 14, 2025, in Roazhon Park. The final score was 3-1 in favour of Rennes, ahead of 392 spectators including 796 visitors. The match, arbitrated by Ruddy Buquet, saw the Rennes goals scored by Tolisso in 14th minute, Rouault in 80th minute and Kader Meiité, author of a double in additional time (90+3rd and 90+5th minutes). Several yellow cards were distributed to both teams, including Frankowski, Tolisso, Seidu and Mata, and Morton was expelled for Olympique Lyonnais at the end of the game.
