The AS Saint-Étienne formation: a pillar despite the challenges

Despite a challenging season for the AS Saint-Étienne professional team in Ligue 1, where the fight for maintenance is set to be arduous, the club’s training centre continues to thrive. The management, aware of the crucial importance of training for the club’s sustainability, has maintained its commitment to the project implemented by Laurent Huard, which has positioned ASSE among the five best training centres in France since its arrival in 2021, relying on the preparatory work of Philippe Guillemet. This strategic continuity, affirmed by Kilmer Sports and Ivan Gazidis, demonstrates a clear vision where training remains the essential foundation of the club’s overall performance.

The training teams have shown encouraging results, confirming the strength of the project in place. The U17s stand out as leaders of their group and aspire to playoff, while the U19s, solidly installed in second place, now hold their destiny in their hands to prolong their journey. The reserve, under the leadership of Sylvain Gibert, is currently in eighth place and will have to redouble its efforts to ensure its retention in the competition. These performances demonstrate the consistency and quality of the work done by technical coaches and players in each category.

To deepen the understanding of the season of these different teams, to discover the young talents to follow and to keep informed of the potential professional contracts to come, a dedicated video was posted. It provides a more detailed overview of the issues and prospects for the formation of AS Saint-Étienne, highlighting the importance of this pool of talents for the future of the club.
