LOSC-Toulouse: Critical battle for the race to Europe

The twenty-ninth day of Ligue 1 will be crucial, with a trip to Toulouse for the LOSC this Saturday at 7pm. After a recent defeat in Lyon, the Lille club aspires to a renewed performance and this meeting represents an opportunity to put pressure on direct competitors such as Monaco, Marseille, Strasbourg and Nice, who are also competing this weekend. Attention is now focused on the likely compositions of the two teams, the LOSC having benefited from the analysis of our experts and the Toulouse team being presented by the L-Team newspaper.

The Welsh tactician, Bruno Genesio, seems ready to return to a 4-2-3-1 device, focusing on an experience-based and efficient strategy. The likely composition of the LOSC would include Lucas Chevalier in the cages, a central hinge composed of Alexsandro and Bafodé Diakité, and a side defence with Thomas Meunier and Ismaily. In the middle of the field, Benjamin André and André Gomes would form a double pivot, while Jonathan David would be supported by a line of three elements, including Mitchel Bakker, Hakon Haraldsson and Matías Fernandez-Pardo.

The Toulouse Football Club, for its part, is going through a period of crisis of results, having won only two of its last twelve games and getting bogged down in the soft belly of the competition. In an attempt to correct the situation, Carles Martinez Novelle could opt for a 3-4-3 game system, which had already disrupted the LOSC in the past. Guillaume Restes would occupy the Toulouse cage, in front of a defense composed of Sidibé, Cresswell and McKenzie. The middle line would be articulated around Dönnum and Suazo with pistons, as well as a double pivot with Sierro and Cassieres. The attack would be led by Gboho, Babicka and, in the absence of the incontourable Abukhlal, should carry the Toulouse hope for a victory.
