LOSC and Rennes fight David Moller Wolfe left left Norwegian

The LOSC is stepping up its efforts in the transfer market, targeting David Moller Wolfe, a young 23-year-old Norwegian left-backer who has attracted the interest of several European clubs, including Stade Rennais. Wolfe established himself as a regular player in Eredivisia, being indisputable holder at the AZ Alkmaar. Last season, he made an impressive record with 47 appearances, 3 goals and 8 assists, demonstrating an ability to maintain a high level and bring a constant threat to the left side. This performance significantly increased its market value.

For LOSC, recruiting a left side is a top priority, following the departures of Guรฐmundsson, Ismaily and Bakker, who left a vacuum in the team. The Nordic club is currently negotiating with AZ Alkmaar to take over Wolfe, but there are financial obstacles. AZ Alkmaar seeks a transfer allowance of about 12 million euros, and the player’s wage claims complicate the negotiation. Despite the urgency of meeting this need, the LOSC wants to avoid a surge in prices.

Stade Rennais also showed a strong interest in Wolfe, in order to replace Adrien Truffert, who had left in Bournemouth. The Breton club particularly appreciates its sense of placement, its quality of recovery and its physical commitment. However, the competition is fierce, with German and English clubs also competing for the player. Wolfe, under contract with the AZ Alkmaar until 2028, represents a promising investment thanks to his European experience and his consistency in the championship. The question remains whether the LOSC will succeed in convincing the player and his club, or whether Rennes will succeed in persuading him first.
