Rennes ready to strengthen its workforce despite persistent uncertainties

Stade Rennais would be on the verge of completing an important double transfer, with the upcoming arrival of Valentin Rongier and Quentin Merlin. This information, relayed by L’Equipe and Le Parisien, suggests a total investment of 18.5 million euros for these two players, both trained in Nantes and recognized in Ligue 1. The agreement between Rennes and Marseilles would have been concluded recently, and this arrival arouses the interest of supporters. A survey is proposed to solicit public opinion on these potential reinforcements, given their past at CF Nantes, which could generate mixed reactions.

At the same time, the future of Leo Ostigard in Rennes seems uncertain. According to L’Equipe, the German club in Hoffenheim would wait for a start before finally engaging with the young player. Although a loan was made in the second part of the season, Hoffenheim would not have exercised its option of purchase. Interest in Ostigard persists and a transfer is still envisaged, but Hoffenheim would first like to record the departure of Stanley N’Soki, loaned to the Berlin Union.

If N’Soki’s loan were to come true, Ostigard would definitely leave Rennes, after being recruited for about 7 million euros a year ago. The player did not resume training with the Breton club and is one of the exempted players. This situation highlights a possible disaffection on the part of the Rennes club towards Ostigard, paving the way for its departure to Hoffenheim, despite its potential and past at Stade Rennais.
