Important rotation at Stade Rennais two Turkish players leave the club

Stade Rennais has experienced an intense summer of transfers, with a total of 29 player departures, including loans, final transfers and end of contract. Following 26 cancellations during the summer mercato, the club formalized two new sales: BertuÄŸ Yildirim and DoÄŸan Alemdar, two Turkish players. These two departures marked a significant turnover in the Rennes workforce, illustrating a team renewal and management strategy.

Bertuğ Yildirim, who arrived in 2023 from Hatayspor, played 29 games with Stade Rennais, contributing with one goal and two assists. After a season of lending to Getafe, he was short of playing time and finally joined Istambul Başakşehir FK, the current 13th Turkish club of Süpere Lig. Doğan Alemdar, the oldest player on the squad, kept the Rennes cages 23 times. His 2023-2024 exercise was complicated by a loan to Troyes and a serious injury that took him away from the land for over a year.

After a gradual recovery with the reserve team, DoÄŸan Alemdar also joined Istambul BaÅŸakÅŸehir FK, where he will find his Turkish compatriots. These two departures highlight a change in the staff of Stade Rennais, with a possible willingness to focus on new talent and to free resources for the future. The club thanks the two players for their contribution and wishes them good luck in their new adventure in Turkey.
