Lyon : Friendly match and notable transfer from Ndiaye

Olympique Lyonnais played a friendly match against Bayern Munich, falling on the score of 2-1. Despite a promising start to the match and a strong defence in the first half, the Lyons experienced an acceleration in the second period. The Bayern, although returning from vacation and with only a week of training, demonstrated its offensive power, thanks in particular to Michael Olisene who scored a double penalty and infiltration into the surface. Georges Mikautadze also missed an opportunity to narrow the gap on a pole. Coach Paulo Fonseca highlighted a physical discomfort felt by Corentin Tolisso, but assured that this was not a major concern. The match allowed OL to test their abilities against a leading team, with valuable lessons to be learned before the championship was retaken.

At the same time, Abdoulaye Ndiaye, back left of OL, has committed with Parma for 8 million euros, an important transaction for OL that will collect 20% of the surplus value. This transfer represents the second largest Ligue 2 sale this summer, after that of AmaDou Konรฉ. Ndiaye, trained in Lyon and having participated in the Champions League with Brest, signed a four-year contract with the Italian club. This sale will also benefit OL financially, which retains a share of the revenue generated by the resale of its players.

Outside the field, Brazilian Marion Tarciane, OL defender, is about to compete in her ninth Copa Amรฉrica final with the national team. After a successful career with the U20 and a participation in the Women’s World Cup 2022, Tarcian aspires to win this historic title for Brazil. OL, whose player is a pillar of the national team, will benefit from this international visibility. Brazil will face Colombia in the final, a team that is growing and potentially able to dethrone Brazil from its domination of the continent.
