The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is active this summer to split up six players who are not in the management’s plans. The aim of this initiative is to reduce the cost of the workforce and avoid keeping items considered “deadweights”. The players involved are Marco Asensio, Ilyes Housni, Randal Kolo-Muani, Nordi Mukiele, Renato Sanches and Carlos Soler. The club is aware of the interest of several teams for these internationals, and seeks to quickly conclude these files to facilitate their departure.
However, there are several obstacles to such transfers. For Marco Asensio, Fenerbahรงe remains interested, but the player’s wage requirements create difficulties in negotiations. Ilyes Housni, although courted by Ligue 2 clubs, would prefer a destination in Spain or Saudi Arabia. Randal Kolo-Muani raised a strong interest in the Premier League, with Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle closely monitoring the situation. Juventus Turin seems to be the most advanced club on this issue, but disagreements persist as to how the clause should be paid.
Renato Sanches is confronted with the most delicate situation, with little interest from clubs due to his recurrent injuries and lack of play time. Carlos Soler, meanwhile, attracts the attention of European clubs like the Villarreal, trained by his former coach at FC Valencia. One blocking point concerns the Spanish club’s preference for a loan, while the PSG wants a definitive sale. Despite these complications, the PSG remains determined to separate from these players and optimize its workforce for the coming season.
