The Lille LOSC is active in the transfer market, under the direction of Bruno Genesio and Olivier Létang. The team is preparing to formalize the arrival of Dutch NEC Nijmegen player Caivn Verdonk for an estimated 2.5 to 3 million euros. At the same time, Edoen Zhegrova is expected to join Juventus Turin, a potentially lucrative transaction for the Lille club, up to 20 million euros. Verdonk himself confirmed that he had played his last game with the NEC and that he was engaging with Lille, thus stressing his interest in the French club.
This recruitment activity is part of a strategy to strengthen the Lille workforce. The recent arrival of Scotland’s Glasgow Rangers player Hamza Igamane, for between 11.5 and 12 million euros, demonstrates this will. Igamane already impressed in his first match with LOSC, scoring a double against FC Lorient. These two transfers represent a total investment of about EUR 14 million for the club during this mercato period.
In addition to these paid movements, Olivier Létang, another member of the management team, would be in the process of recruiting at zero euro. The details of this acquisition remain confidential for the time being, but arouse a lot of enthusiasm within the club. These operations reflect a dynamic and ambitious recruitment policy aimed at consolidating the LOSC’s position among the best French clubs and strengthening its potential for the coming season.
