ASSE opens its capital to supporters a new chapter for the future

AS Saint-Étienne (ASSE) has taken a historic step by opening its capital to supporters thanks to the association Socios Verts. For less than 20 euros, fans can now become shareholders, a symbolic movement with a real ambition to redefine the relationship between the club and its community. This initiative, born in 2021 during a difficult period for the club, aims to raise 150,000 euros, including 120,000 for the purchase of shares. In just 24 hours, 500 supporters have committed themselves, demonstrating a remarkable enthusiasm and promising funding potential. The association plans concrete initiatives such as the creation of statues in tribute to emblematic figures of the club and the organization of frescoes by groups of supporters, in order to build on the glorious history of ASSE to build its future.

The Socios Verts approach represents a new path in France, going beyond the mere symbol to lay the foundations of a 2.0 supportism. The shareholders will have a representative at the ASSE general meeting, with the ambition to one day sit on the board of directors. The association aims to be a partner proposing unifying projects and a better representativeness of the green people. In the long term, if the financial objective is exceeded, further concrete actions will be launched collectively. This project already demonstrates its potential to unite, gather and give a voice to the thousands of fans who are vibrating for ASSE, in a context of football increasingly disconnected from its fans.

Recently victorious against Rodez (4-0), ASSE posted a successful performance, explained by the mindset and game intelligence of its players. The columnists of the Sainté Night Club highlight the IQ football of some key actors, such as Bernauer and Boakye, who are distinguished by their decisive passes and their involvement in offensive actions. The arrival of new intelligent players, such as Ben Old, Staasnin and Tardieu, is seen as a real plus for the team, correcting a lack of often pointed fingers. This gaming intelligence, combined with a positive collective spirit, is a key factor in improving ASSE performance.
