Monaco resists the Ajax and prepares its championship

AS Monaco played its seventh friendly game against Ajax Amsterdam, ending with a score of 2-2. The Monegasque team, undefeated since the start of its preparation, sought to build confidence before the start of the championship on 16 August against Le Havre. The game started with Davy Klaassen, Kenneth Taylor opening the score for the Ajax at half an hour. Monaco reacted quickly, Mika Biereth equalizing five minutes later, taking advantage of an excellent work by Caio Henrique on the left wing. Taku Minamino then gave the Monegasques the advantage at the time of play, on a Jordan Tzeze pass.

However, the Ajax managed to equalize in the final minutes of the match thanks to Bertrand Traoré, former Ligue 1 player. Despite this late goal, AS Monaco retains its invincibility in preparation. The team aligned a composition including Köhn, Tzeze, Dier, Marissa, Caio Henrique, Camara, Zakaria (cap), Minamino, Golovin, Balogun and Biereth. This meeting highlighted technical imperfections, but the team remains focused on the last adjustments before the crucial match against Inter Milan on August 8.

The game was dominated by the Ajax, who got a rather unexpected draw. Several changes were made during the game, with Akliouche and Vanderson playing on the Monegasque bench. Captain Denis Zakaria received a yellow card during the meeting. The initial composition of AS Monaco included Köhn, Tzeze, Dier, Mawissa, C. Henrique, Minamino, Zakaria, Camara, Golovin, Biereth and Balogun. This friendly match, although finished with a draw, allows the team to continue refining its strategy before the start of the season.
