The LOSC continues its summer recruitment towards the potential succession of Bafodé Diakité, whose future at the club remains uncertain. After having already secured the arrivals of Olivier Giroud, Felix Correia, Marius Broholm and Arnaud Bodart, the Nordic club is about to formalize the arrival of Nathan Ngoy, a young 22-year-old Belgian central defender. The latter has recently passed the physical and medical tests in Lille and should engage with the Dogues, unless major unforeseen. Ngoy, trained in Anderlecht and Liège, has 53 professional appearances with the Standard of Liège, although he was restrained by injuries, including knee surgery last autumn.
The LOSC sees Nathan Ngoy as a versatile player, able to strengthen both the defensive axis and the right corridor, a profile that is particularly appreciated by coach Bruno Genesio, who seeks to fill the gaps left by some key players. The arrival of Ngoy would be accompanied by a five-year contract, subject to approval of medical examinations. The club has offered €5 million to attach itself to its services, demonstrating its great confidence in its potential.
Ngoy is described as a strong central defender, performing in duels and with strong potential. His recruitment represents an important bet for the LOSC, which hopes that he will be able to assert himself fully and avoid the physical problems that have hindered his progress so far. The arrival of this young talent could therefore help strengthen the defence of the LOSC and ensure a more serene future for the club.
