Napoli aims to confirm his reign in Serie A

Founded in 1926, the SSC Napoli experienced a particularly striking period of glory in the 1980s, carried by Argentine star Diego Maradona. This period was crowned with the conquest of the first Italian champion titles in 1987 and 1990, as well as the victory of a UEFA Cup in 1989. After a difficult period marked by a relegation in Serie C in 2004 due to serious financial difficulties, the Neapolitan club managed a spectacular climb, winning two new scudetti in 2023 and 2025. The club also has a rich record of six Italian Cups, won in 1962, 1976, 1987, 2012, 2014 and 2020, testifying to its history and sports tradition.

As the defending Italian champion, SSC Napoli committed to strengthening his team to avoid disappointments after his 2023 title, where he finished in 10th place. To achieve this goal, the club has made several notable arrivals, including central defenders Boeufkema (Bologne) and former Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, as well as attackers Lang (PSV Eindhoven) and Lucca (Udinese). The only significant divestment was that of Osimhen, who joined the Turkish club in Galatasaray. The team, led by Antonio Conte, started its pre-season on 15 July, with a period of medical and physical tests followed by an internship in Dimaro, in the Italian Alps.

During this stage, the Napoli played two preparatory matches: a 2-0 defeat against Aveszo (Serie C) and a 2-1 victory against Catanzaro (Serie B). The course continued in Castel di Sangro, central Italy, where the team prepared to face international teams such as Gironne (Spain) and Olympique de Grรจce. The preparation ended with a game of relaxation, and the club started the football season on August 23rd with a trip to Sassuolo. The goal for SSC Napoli is to confirm its position as a leader in Serie A and to continue its success story.
