Donnarumma leaves PSG Raiola denounces lack of respect

The president of the Italian Football Federation, Gabriele Gravina, commented on the situation of Gianluigi Donnarumma, goaltender who will leave Paris Saint-Germain after being abandoned by the club. This decision was the subject of strong reactions, notably from Lucas Chevalier’s father, the young guardian of the LOSC who joined the PSG. Freddy Chevalier expressed his pride and admiration for this new challenge, pointing out that his son chose the most demanding challenge and was determined to take up this challenge with courage. He added that Lucas had always had this taste for the challenge, dating back to his launch in National 2 to 16, and that this choice corresponds to his mentality of wanting to progress and get out of his comfort zone.

Donnarumma’s agent, Enzo Raiola, expressed his anger at the departure of the guard, claiming that the PSG hid behind excuses not to extend his contract. According to Raiola, the club used a new contract format with other players to justify the refusal to extend, an approach that it considered strange given the solid financial situation of the PSG. After months of unsuccessful negotiations, they had agreed to initially agreed terms, particularly because of the team’s performance in the Champions League. However, the contract proposed to Donnarumma did not correspond to the original terms, which led to the cessation of negotiations and the announcement of the non-extension before the match against Atlรฉtico.

Raiola stressed Donnarumma’s disappointment at this situation, especially after being assured that conditions would not change. He also questioned the fact that the club did not comment on Donnarumma’s style of play if it had extended. The agent revealed that Donnarumma was informed of his absence for the Supercup, a situation he considered absurd. This situation highlights tensions between the player, his agent and the Parisian club, and raises questions about talent management and communication within the PSG.
