Asse Mercato: Duffuss and reinforcements for an ambitious season

The ASSE has a summer loaded in terms of reinforcements. Despite a month of training with the team, Joshua Duffus, a 20-year-old English attacker, has still not been able to formalize his arrival due to administrative constraints related to his status as a non-European national. The club is faced with a limit of two non-EU players under the professional football charter, a quota already reached with Ben Old and Mahmoud Jaber. Duffus initiated a procedure to obtain Jamaican nationality, granting ASSE an additional offensive solution over time. Gautier Larsonneur, captain of ASSE, stressed the importance of integrating new players and seeking defensive balance, while stressing the need to focus on upcoming championship matches.

Larsonneur referred to the recent arrivals of Ebenezer Annan and Strahinja Stojkoviฤ‡, as well as the gradual integration of Chico Lamba. He stressed that mercato is a complex period, with varied expectations and challenges to overcome. Its main objective is that the team approach the first part of the season with as many points as possible, relying on the defensive strength that had contributed to their promotion in League 1. The friendly games served as a preparation, but the real event begins with the start of the championship.

The captain insisted on the importance of winning outdoor matches in League 2, considering each point as a crucial step in building a successful season. He recalled that the results of friendly matches were quickly forgotten and that attention should be paid to the game against Laval on August 9. The ambition is to strengthen the team and the links between the players through these meetings, focusing on performance and concrete results.
