Thomas Meunier: scorer and potential smuggler in LOSC victory in Angers

Thomas Meunier, a scorer in the last game played at home by his team, could have become a smuggler in the LOSC win at Angers (0-2) if his teammates had been more lucid. After the final whistle, he coldly analyzed the encounter with frankness.

The LOSC was seventh before playing at the Raymond-Kopa Stadium in Angers and risked losing contatto with the leaders in case of a bad result. However, the Dogues were able to react and achieved a significant victory thanks to their determination.

Thomas Meunier said the priority for his team is to qualify directly for the Champions League this time, without going through the preliminary rounds. The LOSC was second in the final whistle but was overtaken by OM later in the evening.

Meunier stressed that the final sprint is very tight and that there is little gap between the teams fighting for a place on the podium. He considers this stressful but also exciting for neutral viewers.

However, Meunier was not completely satisfied with his team’s performance in Angers because they almost got two goals after 20 minutes and had moments of inattention. According to him, fatigue could be a possible cause but he trusts his team to continue performing.

Despite this, Meunier pointed out that the LOSC has created many opportunities and deserves its victory against Angers. He is now ready to face Marseille on the 32nd day of Ligue 1.
