"Neonazi gestures during the derby Rennes-Nantes: indignation on social networks".

The past week has been marked by a wave of outrage on social media following the publication of a photo taken after the final whistle of the derby Rennes-Nantes last Friday. In this photo, several people with blurred faces make a three-finger greeting, similar to the salvation of Kรผhnen used by some nationalist or neo-Nazi activists to circumvent the prohibitions of Hitler’s salvation, according to the site Here Armoric. It would be an ultra-commodity group from Spain and Zaragoza, known for its links with the ultra-radical right and its friendship with certain groups independent of ultra-rennais.

In a statement published Friday morning, the Roazhon Celtic Kop (RCK) said that these people were “outside our group” and condemned “unacceptable gestures”. The ultra-group dissolved itself from their initiative and recalled its apolitical course by condemning any behaviour contrary to its rules, particularly when it comes to speeches or gestures of this nature.

Contacted by Ici Armorique and So Foot, Stade Rennes condemned these actions “intolerable and contrary to the club’s values”. The club also launched an investigation and reserved the possibility to take legal action.
