MHSC targets Simon Ngapandouetnbu to strengthen its goaltender team

The MHSC is stepping up its search for a new goaltender, potentially anticipating the departure of Bénjamin Lecointe, who would consider a transfer to London. Faced with this possible vacancy, the management of the Montpellílain club actively explored other options to strengthen this crucial position. Initially, Jonathan Sirois, the Montreal Canadian goalkeeper, had been identified as a priority target, but the club has now turned to new tracks to meet this need.

Currently, Olympique de Marseille is the club that attracts the attention of the MHSC. According to information from Foot Mercato, Simon Ngapandouetnbu, 22-year-old Cameroonian guard whose contract with OM runs until June 2027, is currently on the list of potential recruits. He spent last season on loan at the Olympic Nîmes, there he recorded an impressive record with 26 games played, 11 clean sheets and only 29 goals conceded, a feat all the more remarkable given the relegation of the Nîmes in National 2.

Since the beginning of the season, Simon Ngapandouetnbu has been training with the Olympique de Marseille reserve. This situation could prompt him to seek a new sporting challenge elsewhere. The MHSC, aware of the importance of strengthening its workforce for the next season, seems determined to shake up in the transfer market in order to capture the talent of this promising young goalkeeper.
