In a recent interview with the team, Véronique Rabiot, mother and agent of Adrien Rabiot, revealed behind the scenes the missed transfer of his son to Manchester United in 2022. At the time, Adrien, playing at the Juventus, was open to a start for the English club, despite the latter’s absence in the Champions League. However, negotiations quickly caught up with a financial clause considered unacceptable by Manchester United: a wage reduction in the event of the Juventus’ non-qualification for European competition. Véronique Rabiot expressed his outrage at this proposal, calling it “sacredly swollen and very disrespectful”, and immediately ended the discussions, insisting that it was not a question of money but of principles.
In addition, player agent Jean Mendelewitsch commented on the transfer of Igor Paixão to the Olympique de Marseille, considering that the amount of 30 million euros plus bonuses is consistent with the reality of the Dutch market. The Brazilian striker, from the Feyenoord Rotterdam and having played the Champions League, was courted by several European clubs. According to Mendelewitsch, his performance on the European stage is a determining factor in assessing his transfer. He points out that high performance players are rarely sold at low prices, except at the end of the contract, and that the amount paid for Peaceão therefore remains logical.
Finally, an information point on OM was discussed during a live mercato. Discussions on the departures of Koné, Moumbagna and Lirola were discussed, as were the arrival of Igor Paixão and Aubameyang, as well as other rumours of mercato. The show therefore provided an update on the potential movements of the Marseille club, both in terms of arrivals and departures, in the context of the next transfer window.
