Tribute to Lacombe Brestois in search of reinforcements and OL in Europa League

Olympique Lyonnais (OL) will pay special tribute to Bernard Lacombe during the match against Olympique de Marseille, which will take place this Sunday at the Groupama Stadium. The club announced an exceptional mechanism to honour the memory and journey of the former attacker, who became sports director, coach, recruiter and advisor. A special poster was created in his memory, and the players will wear a dedicated warm-up outfit. In addition, some of the benefits of this outfit will be donated to the Lรฉon Bรฉrard Centre, in accordance with his family’s wishes. OL also wishes to continue the public’s tribute to the 9th minute game.

Stade Brestois, faced with a departure of several key players including Pierre Lees-Melou, made a first offer to recruit Pathe Mboup, a 21-year-old Senegalese left winger currently playing at Pau FC. The Breton club, in financial difficulty despite its qualification in the Champions League the previous year, seeks to strengthen its attack. Pathe Mboup, interested in the Breton project, could provide a solution to this need. Although there is competition for his recruitment, the player is motivated by the opportunity to join the Stade Brestois.

OL know their schedule for the Europa League league phase, where they will be in hat 2. The club will have to face two opponents of each hat, with potential teams such as AS Roma, Bรฉtis Seville, FC Porto, and many others. For its part, the Olympique de Marseille strengthened its staff with the arrival of attacker Hamed Junior Traorรฉ, succeeding several other summer recruits. The player, who left Bournemouth, was convinced by the presence of coach Roberto De Zerbi and hopes to contribute to the club’s goals as early as Sunday’s match against Lyon.
