According to information relayed by L’Équipe et Ouest-France, Stade Rennais is preparing to formalize Przemyśław Frankowski’s arrival as a loan. The player should join the Breton club from Galatasaray, with an estimated purchase option of between 5.5 and 6 million euros. This signature would be a significant step forward for Rennes, which has so far recorded only two new recruits, Valentin Rongier and Quentin Merlin, despite the need to renew its staff due to numerous departures. The player had shown a particular interest in Rennes, thus excluding the tracks proposed by Lens and Paris FC.
At the same time, the same sources confirm an imminent transfer of Henrik Meister to the Italian club in Pisa. The young player, currently on loan in this team until January with a purchase option, should make a definitive commitment for a sum of 5 million euros, including a percentage of resale. Meister, who arrived from Sarpsborg 08 a year ago for about 7 million euros, won as a key player and his transfer represents a boost for Pisa.
These two player movements demonstrate Stade Rennais’ efforts to strengthen its team for the new season. The club, aware of the need to fill the voids left by the departures, focuses on strengthening its attack and its right side sector, where Lorenz Assignon is no longer present since his departure for Stuttgart. The arrival of Frankowski and the definitive transfer of Meister are therefore important elements in the reconstruction strategy of the Breton club.
