OM Lyon defiance absences et mercato en ligne pour reinforcements défensifs

The Olympique de Marseille is preparing for a crucial trip to Lyon on the third day of Ligue 1, in a context marked by persistent difficulties in defence. The team, led by Roberto De Zerbi, will have to deal with numerous absences, including Medina, Paixão, Rabiot and Kongoïbia, while Harit should return. The team’s alignment will therefore be limited, with a possible composition including Egan-Riley and Baleerdi in central defence, and an offensive composition with Greenwood, Gouiri and Aubameyang. De Zerbi will have to make important tactical choices to compensate for these losses and maintain the defensive strength of the team.

OM’s mercato remains a hot topic, particularly regarding the Ecuadorian defender Joel Ordóñez. The Bruges club, the current owner of the player, clearly indicated that a transfer would only take place if the financial conditions were met. The chairman of the Bruges club stressed the need to take into account the interests of the three parties involved: the player, the sales club and the buyer club. OM, eager to strengthen its defence for the Champions League, is competing to recruit Ordóñez, but will face potential competition and high cost.

At the same time, OM seems to be moving towards Lutsharel Geertruida, the Dutch law side of RB Leipzig. The negotiations progressed positively and the player would be seduced by the Marseille project. The latter, formed at Feyenoord, is a versatile side, strong defensively and capable of bringing depth to the force. The arrival of Geertruida would be part of De Zerbi’s desire to strengthen the defensive sector with players able to bring both recovery and physical impact. The finalisation of this transfer will now depend on the negotiation of the transfer allowance with RB Leipzig, as the next few days are crucial to formalising this movement.
