ASSE prepares for the climb in Ligue 1 with ambition and new visuals

AS Saint-Étienne is actively preparing for the new season, with a look at the Gigi Riva Trophy in Sardinia, an emotional match in tribute to Italian football legend Luigi Riva. This meeting marks the end of an intense summer preparation, punctuated with friendly matches and the search for reinforcements, especially in defence with the potential arrival of Ebenezer Annaan from the Red Star of Belgrade. The club also highlighted its new visuals and content for the upcoming Media Day season, seeking to strengthen its link with fans through humorous and nostalgic approaches. Despite some departures and injuries, the ASSE aims to find Ligue 1 and has demonstrated an interesting potential during its preparations, with players like Agesilas who are particularly dangerously offensive.

The ASSE summer mercato continues with a priority on strengthening defence, and the arrival of Ebenezer Annaan could fill this need. The team has also been actively approached for other positions, such as the midfielder with Christ Tapé, but negotiations are still pending. Several key players left the club, including Pierre Cornud and Léo Pérot, but the arrival of new players such as Mahmoud Jaber and Chico Lamba boosted the strength. Coach Eirik Horneland will have to manage the potential absences of important players at the start of the season, but the team seems ready to meet the challenge of the League 1 climb.

In addition to the sports preparations, ASSE organized its Media Day to produce visual content for the coming season, including player photos, videos and animations for stadiums and social networks. This day highlights the club’s identity and creates a link with fans. The team also participated in a friendly tournament in Ploufragan, with a first draw against the Caen, followed by a victory against Paris Saint-Germain, an interesting shock with another French training centre. These games enabled the team to be tested and the competition to be retaken.
