Reinforcements in sight OM targets Weah Paixão and Raspadori

The Olympique de Marseille is currently very active in the transfer market, with several promising leads. The hottest is Timothy Weah, a young American international currently playing at Juventus Turin. Negotiations between OM and Juve are progressing well, with an estimated price of EUR 15 million. This player, trained in Paris Saint-Germain and already wearing the LOSC colours, is versatile and perfectly meets the tactical requirements of the new Marseille coach, Roberto De Zerbi. OM seeks to strengthen its staff with a player able to bring speed, percussion and quality centers, and Weah’s experience in Serie A, Ligue 1 and in the national team is a major asset.

At the same time, OM is intensifying its efforts to recruit Igor Paixão, player of the Feyenoord Rotterdam, to strengthen the left corridor of its attack. This movement is part of the club’s desire to compensate for Luis Heنrique’s departure. The Feyenoord set a price of 28 million euros for the player, who achieved a convincing 2024-2025 season with 16 goals and 10 assists. OM has officially made an offer, but the Dutch club has not yet taken action. Recruitment of a left winger is a priority for OM, and the versatility of Paixão is a significant asset for the Marseille strategy.

Finally, OM closely follows Giacomo Raspadori, attacking Napoli, but negotiations are expected to be complex. The Italian club claims 40 million euros for the player, a sum deemed prohibitive for Marseille finances. Although Raspadori has already been approached by OM during the last winter mercato, its efficiency in Serie A this season is below this price. OM will probably have to look at more financially affordable profiles or hope for a decline in the Neapolitan position to strengthen its offensive sector. The Raspadori runway seems to be moving away, except in the coming weeks.
