The end of the 2024-2025 season is approaching and with it, the UNFP Trophy ceremony. The LOSC representatives were not very lucky in the previous edition, but perhaps hope better for this year. The ceremony will reward the best players, coaches and referees of the various national competitions (Ligue 1, Ligue 2, Arkema First League). For the first time, a trophy of the best Ligue 1 dribber will be awarded, with Eden Hazard as ambassador. The ceremony will take place on May 11 and will be presented by Thomas Thouroude, broadcast live on beIN Sports and Youtube.

Last year, despite the presence of four Lille players (Leny Yoro, Lucas Chevalier, Paulo Fonseca, Edon Zhegrova), none were rewarded individually. Only Leny Yoro was in the Ligue 1 2023-2024 season. The nominees for this year are not yet known, but it is possible that several LOSC players will appear there, including Lucas Chevalier.

Last year, some did not understand why Lucas Chevalier had been ahead of Gianluigi Donnarumma for the trophy of the best goaltender. Rémy Cabella had come up on social media: “So Ligue 1 players don’t put Lucas Chevalier as the best goaltender… We didn’t see the same championship I think!! He deserves 100 times to win!! Stop judging according to the club because even Bizot did a better season, but he plays Brest… so the players don’t calculate!”. Maybe this year will be different for Lucas Chevalier and the other Lille players.
