The players of Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain paid tribute to Pope Francis before their semi-finals going from Champions League to Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night. The Parisians won the score of (0-1) thanks to a strong performance by Willian Pacho and his teammates.

PSG defender Willian Pacho praised the way his team played and acted during this victory against the Gunners. He also paid tribute to his goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma for his fine performance.

Former Argentine international player Juan Pablo Sorín reacted to X (ex-Twitter) after the PSG’s success against Arsenal in the semifinals of the Champions League. He praised the collective performance of the Parisians, attributing much of this success to coach Luis Enrique who was able to give his team a strong identity and a “spirit of solidarity”. In the face of an Arsenal known for his dry cleaning and rigor, the PSG did not tremble, displaying a great concentration and tactical mastery of every moment.

Sorín also highlighted João Neves, the young Portuguese medium compared to “Pac-Man” for his ability to recover balloon on balloon, as well as the performance of Gianluigi Donnarumma, author of several decisive parades. The Italian saved his family again, confirming his status on the big dates.

Finally, Ousmane Dembélé also received Sorín’s praise for his vivacity and his breakthroughs on the wing, while the Parisian supporters, massively present in London, were warmly applauded for their unconditional support. A strong message from a former member of the club, which illustrates the growing respect for this team of the PSG version Luis Enrique. Now it remains to validate this performance on the way back to the Parc des Princes to get the finale.
