Strasbourg Ligue 1: composition revealed and persistent challenge

The Racing Club of Strasbourg unveiled its starting composition for the opening match of the Ligue 1 against FC Metz, which will take place at St.Symphorien stadium in Metz. The aligned team includes Penders as a goaltender, a defence with Hogsberg, Sarr, Mwanga, a midfielder composed of Barco, El Mourabet, Ouattara, Lemarรฉchal, and Amo-Ameyaw, and attacks Emegha and Panichelli. The bench consists of Johnsson, Samuels-Smith, Sobol, Eyedele, Nzingoula, Nanasi, Mara, Paez and Bakwa. This composition was announced as the fans prepared for this first game of the season at the Meinau.

In parallel with this announcement, the Ultra Boys 90 fans group reaffirmed their decision to maintain the encouragement strike for the first quarter of an hour of each game, for a second consecutive season. This action aims to denounce, according to the UB90s, a gradual loss of identity and autonomy of the club, in favour of a management perceived as no longer taking decisions in the interest of Racing. The Panel notes that the issues raised since Blue&Co’s takeover persist and that the recent mercato illustrates this lack of independent decision-making. They recall that everyone is free to support this strike or not, while remaining open to respectful dialogue.

The opening match of the Racing League 1 season against FC Metz is expected with great enthusiasm. Coach Liam Rosenior, in his second season leading the team, should offer a competitive composition, mixing already established players and new recruits, hoping to start the championship well and take an advantage from the start. Fans are eager to see the outcome of this strategy and to support their team in this passionate derby.
