OM intensifyes offensive and defensive reinforcement efforts

The Olympique de Marseille is currently looking for reinforcements for its offensive sector, notably to support Amine Gouiri. The club is particularly interested in Giacomo Raspadori, a Neapolitan attacker who is also the subject of sustained attention from Atalanta. This offensive reinforcement strategy is part of a desire to rely on a player already known to Roberto De Zerbi, the Marseille coach since 2024. De Zerbi has already trained Raspadori in Sassuolo between 2018 and 2021, which is a significant asset to convince the player. The recent performance of the Italian striker, characterised by its versatility and efficiency in major competitions, justifies a strong interest of OM. Its market value is estimated at between 20 and 30 million euros, and the club wonders if it is ready to make a concrete offer.

At the same time, OM is in advanced talks for the acquisition of the Malian attacker El Bilal Touré, currently loaned to Atalanta until June 2027. The 23-year-old, eager to save more playing time after his loan to VfB Stuttgart, has real potential and considerable added value. His record at his last loan, with 3 goals and 1 assists in 17 games, demonstrates his qualities. Several other European clubs, such as Stade Rennais, Paris FC, and Galatasaray, are also interested in his profile. OM is therefore working to conclude this operation, conscious of Touré’s long-term potential.

Finally, the Sacha Boey case, the right side of Bayern Munich, is also at the heart of the concerns of the Olympique de Marseille. Initially envisaged as a reinforcement for the right-hand defence corridor, the player seems to be heading for a return to Turkey with the Galatasaray, his former club. However, new information suggests that Boey would have reached a full agreement with OM and would prefer a transfer to Marseilles. The situation therefore remains uncertain and now depends on the negotiations between Bayern Munich and the Phocéan club on the amount and modalities of the transfer. This file may well experience an unexpected turn, reviving OM’s interest in the player trained in Rennes.
