OM friendly schedule preparation 2025/2026

The Olympique de Marseille has released its friendly match schedule, a crucial preparation phase for the 2025/2026 season. Under the direction of Roberto De Zerbi, the team has six meetings scheduled between July 21 and August 9, providing an opportunity to fine-tune the game system and test different compositions. The first match will take place on 21 July against the Belgian club ROC Charleroi, which will allow the staff to make a complete assessment of the strength. A participation in the AirCup 2025, an international tournament organized in Andorra, is also on the programme, with a last minute change concerning the initially planned opponent, Al Jazeera, replaced by Girona.

The AirCup tournament will see OM face Girona on 26 July in Andorra, followed three days later by a more demanding test against Valencia CF in Tarragona. The preparation will then continue in a Vรฉlodrome closed to the public, with two prestigious meetings. On 2 August, OM will host Seville FC, seven-time UEFA Europa League winner, for a European match simulation. The summer campaign will end on August 9 with a match against Aston Villa FC, a solid representative of the Premier League and quarter-finalist of the last Champions League.

This dense and varied program is designed to allow Roberto De Zerbi to prepare his team as best as possible before the start of Ligue 1 and European competitions. The summer will be a busy one for the Olympians, with a focus on setting up tactical strategies, managing the group and high-level tests. Each friendly match will be an opportunity to validate sports choices and strengthen team cohesion for an ambitious sports season.
