According to information disclosed by the specialised media Fichajes, the English player now favours a continuation in Europe, thus excluding a possible destination in Saudi Arabia, where several clubs, including Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad, supported by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), had expressed a sustained interest. Although a substantial offer, estimated at €90 million, has been envisaged to secure its services, Greenwood seems resolutely turned to a new challenge within the Old Continent.

The interest of Saudi clubs, and in particular this fiery offer, could nevertheless complicate the situation and alter Greenwood’s outlook.
