Arbitration: Vinčić whistle for Arsenal-PSG

UEFA has appointed Slavko Vinčić as the central referee for the semi-final go of the Champions League opposing Arsenal to Paris Saint-Germain. The 45-year-old Slovenian is one of the most experienced referees on the European scene, having played in major competitions such as the final final of the Champions League and the semi-final of the Euro between Spain and France. Vinčić knows both teams well, having already arbitrated an Arsenal-PSG game this season in group phase, won by the Gunners on the score of 2-0.

He will be assisted by Tomaz Klancnik and Andraz Kovacic, also Slovenes, while Matej Jug will serve as fourth arbitrator. At the VAR, Alen Borosak will be supported by Dennis Higler, Dutch. Since the start of the European campaign, Slavko Vinčić has led nine Champions League games, distributing an average of four yellow cards per game and whistled only one penalty. His reputation for calmness and his ability to let the game live promise intense confrontation but hopefully without unnecessary controversy.

Paris offers a disconnection break before the semi-final

After an intense rhythm of three championship games in a week, Luis Enrique decided to offer his players a day of rest on Sunday, after a light training session held Saturday morning after the defeat against Nice. The Parisians will meet Monday night for a final session on the Gunners’ lawn to make the final adjustments before the big challenge that awaits them Tuesday at 9pm against the Gunners, in the semifinal of the Champions League.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia: successful integration in Paris Saint-Germain

Joining a team during the season is never easy, but Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has adapted quickly thanks to the work of the club and the support of the supporters. In an interview with the official Parisian website, the Georgian international says: “I think the most difficult thing is that joining a team in the middle of the season can be complicated for the coach, but I have adapted quite well thanks to the President, the staff, the coaches, the club and, of course, the players who have given me a warm welcome. I feel really good here and this support helps me to be more efficient on the ground.”

The welcome of the supporters also played a key role in its rapid adaptation: “The fact that the supporters welcomed me so quickly into the family really helps me find my place in the field, and I do my best to make the most of it. From the very beginning, I felt strong support from the supporters. All this is thanks to this club: it welcomes you in a way that allows you to believe in yourself and realize your value as a player.” A few days away from a highly anticipated Champions League semifinal against Arsenal, the club will count on its talent to make a difference in this crucial event.
