Monaco ambition podium and financial stability a major challenge

Thiago Scuro, Monaco’s Managing Director, reaffirmed the club’s ambitions for the coming season, highlighting a podium goal in Ligue 1, a qualification for the hen phase of the Champions League and a significant progression in the Coupe de France. He stressed that these objectives, although similar to those of the previous season, remained legitimate given the stability of the workforce, reinforced by some wise recruitment. Scuro recognizes the difficulty of competing with Paris Saint-Germain, but recalls that the club has already had success against this team, while stressing the significant difference in current financial resources.

The major challenge for Thiago Scuro is to financially stabilize the club, which he hopes to achieve in the next three years. This ambition is reflected in an experience-based recruitment strategy, an approach already visible in recent arrivals. Although the formalization of all transfers has not yet been completed, including that of the new goaltender, the club strives to improve the team with small touches, focusing on strength and reliability.

Beyond the composition of the team, Scuro highlights the importance of the mind and the ability to believe in a long and successful course, especially in the Champions League, and to challenge great favourites like Paris. He stressed the need for consistency and solidity, especially in meetings against less strong teams, where points were too often lost. The goal is to make a perfect season, avoiding mistakes and being competitive at every meeting.
