Stade Rennais is experiencing a period of significant movement within its workforce. Rayan Bamba, originally planned to strengthen the right back, was finally loaned without purchase option to the Nancy club for the season in Ligue 2. This decision marks a change of plan for the young player, who had joined the training group under the direction of Habib Beye. This loan comes after a season spent in Concarnau, National, and it seems that Bamba will now move away from Brittany for this new season.
At the same time, the club is faced with requests for loans from some of its players. Lorient’s team reportedly expressed interest in Abdelhamid AĆÆt Boudlal, currently on loan to Amiens, but Rennes resisted this potential sale. The Rennes club counts on the young defender as Anthony Rouault’s lining for the coming season. This illustrates Stade Rennais’ willingness to maintain a competitive workforce while managing market opportunities.
Finally, the situation of Arnaud Kalimuendo is of particular concern. Nottingham Forest would have made a first offer of 31 million euros for the player, refused by Rennes who wants to get 35 million euros, including bonuses. Although an agreement in principle has been reached with Nottingham Forest and the player for 30 million euros, a total agreement is not yet finalized. In the event of Kalimuendo’s departure, Rennes is planning an investment of more than 20 million euros to recruit a new attacker and ensure the depth of its staff.
