Patrick Ouotro commits to Nancy for more opportunities

The 19-year-old Ivorian attacker Patrick Ouotro left the Racing Club in Strasbourg to join AS Nancy-Lorraine. This transfer, formalized this Wednesday, comes after a disappointing passage in Alsace where it failed to win. The player, who had joined the Alsatian club in January 2024 for a four-season contract after being named best hope at LYS Sassandra in Cรดte d’Ivoire, opted for a new adventure in Nancy for the next four years, due to a lack of playing opportunities.

Patrick Ouotro’s career has been marked by several loan experiences. After arriving in Strasbourg, he was transferred to Martigues for a period from August to December 2024, where he played 13 games in Ligue 2. Then he joined the Belgian club of Seraing in February, where he played 8 games in the Challenger Pro League and scored 3 goals. His only official match with the Racing Club of Strasbourg took place in a defeat against Lyon at the end of the 2023/2024 season.

Despite a single goal scored in a friendly match against Munich 1860 in July 2024, Patrick Ouotro finally chose to continue his development in Nancy. This transfer represents a new opportunity for the young attacker to gain experience and assert himself in an environment where he should be more likely to play regularly. AS Nancy-Lorraine hopes that it can fully exploit its potential and contribute to the club’s success.
