Negotiations between Olympique de Marseille and AC Milan concerning the transfer of Ismaël Bennacer are currently at a standstill. Despite OM’s continuing interest in the Algerian field environment, discussions are blocked by several key points. According to Italian journalist Daniele Longo, no significant progress has been made recently. Bennacer himself wants to stay in Marseille, motivated by personal reasons, but an agreement on the terms of a loan or on his annual salary of 4 million euros remains difficult to find.
The main challenge is the financial requirements of AC Milan, which would like a final sale rather than a new loan. Several Saudi clubs would be interested in Bennacer and would be willing to make an offer in Milan, which could encourage the Italian club to accept a transaction. For its part, the Marseille management maintains its interest but for the moment refuses to give in to the financial conditions imposed by AC Milan.
This tense situation leaves the future of Ismael Bennacer uncertain. If neither of the parties makes a concession in the next few days, the case could quickly shift, paving the way for other suitors. Bennacer, although appreciated by coach Roberto De Zerbi, did not fully meet his expectations during his first months at OM. The outcome of this transfer file therefore remains to be followed closely.
