Montpellier : Nicollin leaves the stadium in the face of the crisis

Montpellier in crisis: President Nicollin leaves the Vélodrome before the 4th goal

A nightmare night for Montpellier. The Hérault club suffered an overwhelming defeat against the Olympique de Marseille last night at the Vélodrome (5-1), in a context of electric atmosphere. This new disappointment, the sixth of the season, further plunges the club into a situation of great difficulty and now seriously threatens its survival in League 1.

Faced with this new debacle, MHSC President Laurent Nicollin once again expressed his frustration. However, this Saturday night, his gesture was particularly surprising: according to DAZN, he left the stadium before the fourth goal of the Phocéans. This symbolic act illustrates the deep malaise that prevails in the Montpellieran club.

Following a huge crack at DAZN’s microphone last week in Angers, Laurent Nicollin once again expressed his ras-le-bol.

With 12 points behind the barrage operator four days from the end, the MHSC seems irreparably doomed to relegation to Ligue 2. A solution that, although not yet mathematically sealed, had already been hovering over a club in total perdition for a few months.
